Release Notes:
The Qemists are a Brighton-based production gang who dispense
the sort of noisy, thrashy d'n'b popularised by Pendulum.
Their last single, Lost Weekend, sounded like something off
Chinese Democracy after some heavy breakbeat treatment. But on
Dem Na Like Me, they recruit eski kingpin Wiley to inject a
much-needed dose of streetwise swagger into the mix, his adept
lyricism flowing slickly with the off-kilter beat and
defiantly unpopular message of the chorus. The 99
Problems-style Rick Rubin riffing underpin a tuff, catchy
chunk of digital dancehall that's aimed straight at the club's
floor.
